I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maine. I serve clients in both states, offering telehealth sessions to make therapy as convenient and accessible as possible.
My education began at Cornell University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and discovered my passion for helping others. I went on to earn a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University in Boston, where I building a strong foundation for supporting individuals through emotional challenges and life transitions.
Since founding Aspire Counseling in 2008, I’ve worked closely with adults and young people, particularly college and graduate students, to address anxiety, trauma, depression, and the complex demands of work, school, and relationships. I invite you to take that first courageous step—let’s figure it out together.
My approach to therapy is as unique as the individuals I work with. Every client brings their own strengths, goals, and challenges to the table, and my role is to meet you where you are. I don’t do cookie-cutter therapy. I’ll partner with you to create a safe, warm, and supportive environment where we can explore your experiences, work through obstacles, and discover the tools you need to thrive. I don't just sit there quietly and nod while you pour your soul out and wonder if I'm really listening. Sessions with me are interactive and rooted in a strong relational connection. My clients feel like I have their backs.
When it comes to techniques, I draw on evidence-based approaches tailored to your specific needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). EMDR, in particular, is known for its effectiveness in helping clients heal from trauma and process longstanding challenges more quickly than with traditional therapeutic techniques.
I began my career in mental health in 1991, working with human services agencies in Syracuse, New York and then Massachusetts where I supported individuals facing a wide range of challenges including mental illness and substance abuse/addictions. I've worked with children, adolescents, college students, and adults.
Since founding Aspire Counseling in 2008, I’ve dedicated my work to helping adults and college students overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Through telehealth services for clients across Massachusetts and Maine, I’m committed to helping you create lasting, positive changes in your life.
Throughout my career, I’ve been devoted to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential. In addition to being a therapist, I am a consultant and coach to business leaders, using an empirically-based model to help them grow into confident, impactful leaders. I also design and deliver leadership training programs in partnership with the Burnham Rosen Group.
In addition to coaching, I partner with corporate clients to identify, assess, and develop top-performing talent. By conducting competency assessments of senior leader candidates and high-potential leaders, I help organizations build stronger, more effective teams that can thrive in today’s evolving workplace.
From 2000 to 2007, I served as a faculty member in Northeastern University’s prestigious Cooperative Education program at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. During this time, I had the opportunity to build transformative partnerships between the university and Fortune 500 companies, further enhancing my ability to develop strategic programs for both individual leaders and organizations.
