About this policy
Effective date: November 15, 2026
Aspire Counseling Inc. (“Aspire Counseling,” “I,” or “me”) operates aspirecounselinginc.com. William Munze is the privacy contact. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse the website or contact me through it.
This is the website privacy policy. Privacy and confidentiality in psychotherapy are addressed separately in the Notice of Privacy Practices. This policy does not replace that notice or authorize disclosures of clinical information.
Information you choose to provide
The contact form asks for your name, preferred reply method, email address and/or telephone number, and a message. I receive the information you submit so I can respond and discuss whether working together may be appropriate. You may also contact me directly by email or telephone.
Please keep initial messages brief and avoid including sensitive personal or clinical details. Ordinary email and the website contact form are not a substitute for a secure clinical communication system.
The form is configured to send your inquiry by email rather than save submissions in the WordPress database. Your message is processed by the website server and email systems during delivery.
Technical information and cookies
The hosting service records routine technical information in server access logs, including IP addresses, requested pages, access times, and browser information. This processing supports delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of the website.
Website software may use cookies or browser storage for functional purposes. Browser storage is separate from cookies; session storage normally lasts for the browser tab’s session. There is currently no website cookie-preferences panel. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. You can manage cookies and site data through your browser settings; blocking some storage may affect website functions.
Some fonts and scripts used for website presentation are delivered through external services, including Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and unpkg. Your browser contacts those services when requesting those resources, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address.
I do not use advertising pixels, email-open tracking, or behavioral advertising on this website.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not currently enabled on this website. If I enable it, I will update this policy to describe the implementation and provide any privacy choices required by applicable law before collection begins.
Google Analytics can collect information about website interactions, devices, browsers, approximate location, and cookie identifiers. Its intended purpose would be understanding overall website use, rather than identifying people seeking therapy. Contact-form message contents and identifying contact details are not intended for submission to Analytics.
More information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
How information is used
I use inquiry information to respond to you, arrange introductory contact, evaluate whether my services may be appropriate, and maintain relevant business records. Technical information is used to operate, protect, and maintain the website.
Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. If I offer a newsletter in the future, subscriptions will be voluntary, limited to adults age 18 and older, and separate from contact inquiries. Subscription details, any delivery provider, and unsubscribe instructions will be provided when that feature is introduced.
Service providers and disclosures
I do not sell personal information, provide it to others for their own marketing, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Hosting, email delivery, external resource delivery, and other services needed to operate the website may process information as part of providing those services. This operational processing is distinct from selling information or sharing it for advertising.
Hosting.com provides website and email hosting. Its handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Information may also be disclosed when required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, including to meet legal obligations or address a serious safety or security issue. Applicable clinical confidentiality requirements continue to govern any protected health information. This website policy is not consent to disclose clinical information.
Storage, retention, and security
When I retain inquiry records, I store them on an encrypted server that I own and manage in the United States. I am the only person with access to those retained records. Backups I make of these records are kept only on that server. This does not mean that hosting logs, inquiry emails in the hosted mailbox, email-delivery records, provider backups, or information temporarily processed during delivery exist only on that server.
Contact inquiries are delivered to a mailbox hosted by my email provider. I access that mailbox through an email app using IMAP. Messages are not automatically removed when delivered to my email app.
I do not routinely retain ordinary availability inquiries or introductory messages after responding. I may retain limited information in my secure records when the contents raise clinical, safety, or legal concerns, or may reasonably be relevant to future care or legal obligations. Retention depends on the circumstances and applicable requirements. Emails are deleted manually from the hosted mailbox; provider backups may retain copies according to the provider’s practices.
Clinical records are subject to separate retention requirements. The hosting and email provider may retain technical logs, email copies, and backups for service operation, security, recovery, and legal requirements. Those provider-controlled records follow the provider’s retention practices rather than the approach described above for my own retained inquiry records.
I use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission, email system, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Location of processing
The website is hosted in the United States. My retained inquiry records and the backups I make of them are also stored on my server in the United States. Hosting, email, and external font or script providers may process technical or delivery information in other countries. Information may also be accessed where I am working. U.S. hosting does not mean every processing activity occurs exclusively in the United States.
Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply. Merely visiting this website or submitting a message is not treated as a waiver of those protections.
Your privacy choices and rights
You may contact me to ask about personal information I hold, request a correction or deletion, or discuss concerns about its use. I may need to verify your identity. Requests are subject to applicable law, including requirements to retain certain records.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, Aspire Counseling Inc. is the controller for processing described in this policy. Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to respond to your request before entering a contract, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and securing the website, or act on consent where required. Sensitive health information requires an additional applicable legal basis; this policy itself does not supply that basis.
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, GDPR rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including Portugal’s Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados where appropriate. GDPR requests will be handled without undue delay and ordinarily within one month, with any legally permitted extension explained to you.
Providing information through the contact form is voluntary, but I may be unable to respond without a way to contact you. I do not use inquiry information for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Do Not Track is a discontinued browser signal. This policy does not promise a particular response to that signal. Any applicable requirements concerning other privacy signals remain separate.
Children and teenagers
This website and Aspire Counseling’s services are intended for adults age 18 and older. I do not treat children or teenagers or provide family therapy, and I do not knowingly solicit personal information from minors.
If a teenager age 13–17 contacts me, I may provide a limited response about my adult-only services or appropriate referral options. Depending on the contents, I may retain limited documentation in secure records for up to one year, unless applicable law requires a different period. I do not ordinarily retain the inquiry in email.
If I learn that I have received personal information directly from a child under 13, I will take steps to delete it promptly, unless retention or another response is specifically permitted or required by applicable law. Any permitted one-time response will be limited accordingly; the general one-year documentation approach does not apply automatically to children under 13.
An adult may mention a child or family circumstances when seeking support for the adult’s own concerns. That does not mean I offer treatment to the child. Please avoid unnecessary identifying details about other people.
Links to other websites
The website may link to other websites or services, including separate session platforms. Those services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information through them.
Changes to this policy
Changes will be announced by posting the revised policy and its updated effective date on this page. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required by applicable law.
